King Midas... Part IV
Friday, September 8 - I get a call @ 5:30 in the afternoon. It's my sales person from La-Z-Boy. Good news! They have found my entertainment unit. At some warehouse in western Washington. It will be about 4 weeks before we can deliver the rest of your furniture. Another month? After all this? "That's great news. I'm glad you found it."
Sunday, September 10 - I call BestBuy to ask about the service on my TV. I told them I've called a few times and not received any answer. They're sorry for the lack of response and will look into the problem for me.
Wednesday, September 13 - I receive a call from BestBuy. They've emailed the technician find out what's happening w/ the part being ordered for service. OK. Good. Let me know what you find out.
Saturday, September 16 - I call the La-Z-Boy service department and leave a message. I explain that two weeks ago a guy came out to look at my sofa and said he'd get back to me. He never did. I leave my number and ask them to call me.
I call BestBuy and ask what they've found out about the missing part for my TV. I tell them I've called several times, and no one has ever followed up other than to say they've "emailed the technician". No one has ever called to say he responded to their email. They look in the computer and see my call history. They apologize for the poor response and promise me that I will receive a call from their manager by next Tuesday.
